Renault goes electric with two new models that went on sale in October 2011 , Renault Kangoo Z.E. and Renault Kangoo Maxi Z.E both offer the same features as the original combustion-engined version, same carrying capacity and high standard of comfort expected from Renault.
Sales have been brisk, helped by Renault with the opening of 21 dedicated electric van centres throughout the UK from Exeter to Inverness. All centres will provide sales, after sales service and practical advice to help LCV operators to get the most from the Kangoo Electric Van range
Is it Affordable ?
Yes, the launch price of £17,000 with a monthly battery fee of £60 makes it competitive with similar van manufactures , it also has the added bonus of having won the van of the year award from What Van.
Renault state running costs – including battery lease will be similar to those of an equivalent internal combustion-engined vehicle when the annual distance travelled is less than 15,000km , above this figure Renault state it will remain competitive.
